About Broad Meadow Farm

I’m Heidi — maker, grower, and the hands behind Broad Meadow Farm.

I didn’t start making soap to build a business. I started because I wanted something simple, good, and reliable for everyday use — something that smelled amazing, felt good on my skin, and didn’t dry it out.

What began as a small, practical solution slowly grew into something more.

Everything I make is created right here on our farm in Alberta, in small batches, using ingredients I trust and use myself. Between greenhouse days, family life, and the rhythm of the seasons, this work has become a steady and meaningful part of our life.

My goal has always stayed the same:

To make soap that’s simple, beautiful, and easy to use every day.
No overcomplication — just bars that feel good, smell great, and work.

Alongside the soap, we grow plants each spring in our greenhouse — another extension of the same idea: simple, seasonal, and rooted in real life.

When you buy from Broad Meadow Farm, you’re choosing something simple, well-made, and beautiful — made for real life and meant to be used and enjoyed every day.

I’m really glad you’re here.

— Heidi

We have a mix of vegan and non-vegan soaps. We do use honey, milk and tallow in some bars. Please check the ingredient list on each bar for more information.

Our soaps are formulated to be gentle and moisturizing, making them suitable for most skin types including sensitive skin. However, we recommend checking the ingredient list if you have specific allergies.

Store your soap in a dry, well-ventilated area between uses. Use a soap dish with drainage to help your bar last longer. Keep it away from direct water spray in the shower.

Our handmade soaps have a shelf life of approximately 12 months when stored properly in a cool, dry place. The scent may fade over time, but the soap remains effective and safe to use.
